When the tide seems to be against you and the oceans rise, you may feel as if you are about to drown.
We've all heard of the Bible's "caught in the midst of a storm" moments and the encouragement they provide, that no matter what storms we face in life's seas, God controls the waters, the storms, and all the elements in them.
Consider another reality: God can use them to redirect and push us toward His chosen purpose for our lives, removing the need for us to rely on our own strength to get there.
As terrifying as that big wave coming your way may appear, it sometimes comes with that much force because it's meant to carry you and not destroy you.
We are sometimes conditioned to interpret approaching waves as a sign that we should take a step back because we are about to lose everything, but if you allow God to take over at that point, He will position you to the destination you were meant to stand still on, which sometimes means stopping fighting the waves.
