God uses fire to prove you are His Part 2

Updated: Dec 31, 2021

Revelation of God’s grace

Ultimately, Sheadrack, Meshach, and Abednego are thrown into the fire, but before they are thrown in, the fire had to be increased and become 7 times hotter, meaning that this wouldn’t be an ordinary fire.

This would not be the kind of fire that everyone else was going to be thrown into; the same may be said with the fires we are thrown into at times. Some of the situations we have and are going to face, which are specifically for God’s glory, are not going to be that easy. It is not going to be the type of fire that anyone could have survived and therefore conclude, "Maybe it wasn’t hot enough," which is why they were able to survive that situation.

Reality is that when God is about to enter a situation that we will face in life, it will be so extreme that there will be no excuse that "it was easy". It wasn’t that difficult. In order to show His glory, He will allow the flames to be so hot to the extent that anyone else that tries to approach that situation will not survive, and you will be the only one to survive to prove that God was with you and you were not alone in that circumstance.

That is the difference between a fire we enter into alone and a fire that we enter into with God, for His glory and purpose. This is why it is so important to say and truly believe the words, "I know that God will not fail me. I know that it may look like a failure in the eyes of everyone looking in. " At the end of the day, I know that God is in this situation, and I have therefore not failed. Which is why they were able to say, "even if God does not save us, we are still not going to bow down because we know the God that we serve, and are still unwilling to compromise and move away from Him."

Because ultimately, we believe that there is a purpose for each and every single thing we come across in our lives. That is one of the most important things to remember about the fires we end up being thrown into.

We do not survive them out of our own strength or wisdom, but because the power of God is in there with us.
