What the eye sees and reality are sometimes in conflict because the perspective of the eyes is limited, while the view found in reality is broad.
This is why we tend to view empty things as useless rather than seeing the potential that is within them.
Scripture has addressed this idea in many ways, using things and people the world views as empty to allow God's glory and splendour to be displayed.
I understand having a heart full of love yet having the reality of an empty womb. This is true yet different for all of us, because we all, at some point, have known the desire of an unborn dream or potential, and at times it's not the effort that hinders us.
So, how do we surrender that barren place in our hearts and lives so that God can impregnate us with what will bring Him honor and glory, even if it isn't what we think we need?
How do we shift our perspective from seeing these as broken parts that can't be used to seeing them as rooms where God can enter and perform a hidden miracle?

The truth is that when we lose sight of the truth of who we are, which is found in the word, we have nothing to counteract the negative thoughts that we are subjected to from time to time.
In the word of God, we understand that how we feel isn't always the truth of what our reality is. When in a state of depression, he believed that he alone had not bowed down, but the reality was that he had not.
